After retiring from a career in biotechnology I got into a long-awaited hobby: astronomy.

My initial interest in imaging was just to make a record of the more interesting moments of my observing.  At first, I persevered with short exposures using an old digital compact camera.  Of course, I got the bug and slowly I extended my horizons and added to my box of kit.
